Letto Furniture at St. Regis Costa Mujeres: Where Luxury Meets Colombian Design
Cancún, México · High-end Hospitality Project · 2025–2026
When one of the most anticipated luxury resorts in the Mexican Caribbean was searching for its furniture partner, the choice was clear: Letto Furniture. The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort Cancún — conceived and designed by the iconic Mexican architectural firm Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos — is a living testament to the highest standards of contemporary Latin American design. Architectural curves that dialogue with the Caribbean horizon, natural materials such as wood, stone, and marble, and a visual palette that fuses the organic with the sophisticated. Behind every lobby, restaurant, terrace, lounge, and kids’ club space, Letto Furniture’s craftsmanship and design are making the difference.
This project marks a milestone in Colombia’s hospitality furniture industry. During the technical site visit, the Letto team was joined by the Colombian Consul at Tuxtla Gutierrez, Lic. Maria Fernanda Grueso Lugo, who witnessed firsthand the scale and quality of a project where Colombian craftsmanship is starring on one of the most demanding stages in global luxury tourism.
From the grand outdoor terraces overlooking the turquoise sea, to the most intimate details of the interior spaces, every corner of the St. Regis Costa Mujeres reflects a coherent vision: that of a hotel that doesn’t merely host guests, but immerses them in a complete sensory experience. And Letto was called upon to be part of that experience.
The images speak for themselves: thatched palapas floating above turquoise waters, wood-and-glass terraces opening to the horizon, and a beachfront access designed so that every guest feels the ocean is within reach. The contrast between the modernity of the building and the overwhelming beauty of the Caribbean is precisely what Letto had to dress with elegance.
The grand main lobby of the St. Regis Costa Mujeres is, in itself, a work of art. A ceiling adorned with floral reliefs and embedded lighting, dark marble columns, mirrored floors, and wood detailing that wraps every space in warmth. The Letto team walked through these still-finishing spaces, verifying technical specs and the final assembly of every furniture piece ahead of the grand opening.
One of the most revealing scenes of the walkthrough was the restaurant dining room, with its chairs and tables still wrapped in protective plastic, ready to be placed. Hundreds of premium furniture pieces — designed and manufactured by Letto — waiting for their final position in this luxury setting.
The resort’s recreation and wellness spaces were equally impressive. The kids club, a playfully designed space with circular volumes, wooden modules, blue ottomans, and activity areas, integrates Letto furniture into a proposal that combines functionality with the premium aesthetic that defines the entire property. Likewise, the spa areas, illuminated corridors, and private lounges with fine wood detailing showcase the versatility of Letto’s hospitality portfolio.
Letto Furniture is not just a furniture supplier. It is a strategic partner in the construction of experiences. The participation in the St. Regis Costa Mujeres proves that the Colombian furniture and hospitality design industry is ready to compete — and win — in the world’s most demanding markets.
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”
